Greg is a distinguished partner in the firm’s Corporate practice group who has more than 25 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Financing transactions. He has assisted clients with numerous mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, venture capital, and private equity transactions, across a variety of industries.
As co-founder of the firm’s Venture Best emerging technology practice, Greg works with both early-stage companies and investors and as a result has the ability to efficiently arrive at solutions that serve his clients’ interests. Greg regularly serves as outside general counsel for clients ranging from start-up companies with high growth potential to multi-billion dollar companies.
Greg also has served on or represented dozens of Board of Directors for public companies, private companies, and non-profit organizations, and is regularly sought for his strategic advice. He works hard to understand his clients’ strategic goals, and tailors his legal advice in light of those business objectives.
Perhaps because of his differentiated combination of strategic business and legal experience, Greg regularly receives recognition from clients and peers, including being named “Lawyer of the Year” for Corporate practice (Madison market) by The Best Lawyers in America® in 2012, 2016, and 2018.
