Overview

Greg is a distinguished partner in the firm’s Corporate practice group who has more than 25 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Financing transactions. He has assisted clients with numerous mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, venture capital, and private equity transactions, across a variety of industries.

As co-founder of the firm’s Venture Best emerging technology practice, Greg works with both early-stage companies and investors and as a result has the ability to efficiently arrive at solutions that serve his clients’ interests. Greg regularly serves as outside general counsel for clients ranging from start-up companies with high growth potential to multi-billion dollar companies. 

Greg also has served on or represented dozens of Board of Directors for public companies, private companies, and non-profit organizations, and is regularly sought for his strategic advice. He works hard to understand his clients’ strategic goals, and tailors his legal advice in light of those business objectives.

  • Represented strategic buyer in a $350M acquisition of a Tier 1 automotive supplier

  • Represented licensor in a $120M (plus royalties) license to a global pharmaceutical company. Payments include up-front license and milestone payments
  • Represented investor in a portfolio company for $300M license (plus royalties) to strategic partner. Payments include up-front license and milestone payments.
  • Represented licensor in dozens of licenses to strategic partners for different fields of use for aggregate potential consideration in excess of $50M (plus royalties).
