Prior to joining Michael Best Strategies, Stephanie served as general counsel and vice president of government relations at the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois, where she oversaw the day-to-day administration of the government relations department, including all legislative and regulatory activities.
As director of government relations at the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Stephanie promoted the legislative agenda of the ITLA and served as an advocate to the Illinois General Assembly, Office of the Governor and other relevant agencies.
She began her work in Illinois politics as an assistant counsel to Illinois Senate President John Cullerton. While on his staff, she negotiated, drafted and analyzed legislative initiatives in the Local Government, State Government, Veteran’s Affairs, and Financial Institutions Committees.
