Overview

Sarah is an associate in the Regulatory Practice Group at Michael Best. In this role, she brings experience in energy law, regulatory compliance, and legal research. 

Before joining Michael Best, she was an associate at a Texas-based law firm. There, in addition to counseling a variety of clients large and small, she researched trends and projections in the national and Texas energy industries, examined methods to enhance the reliability of renewable energy, and assessed the impact of weather conditions on energy sources. Sarah has a talent for translating complex regulations into plain language for public dissemination and has actively participated in ERCOT CLEs and courses to deepen her expertise in the field.

Sarah also gained valuable experience as a law clerk at several organizations. At an AmLaw100 law firm, she researched dockets for the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and collaborated with the Minnesota Department of Commerce analysts. She also investigated the implications of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, drafting crucial documents and comments for regulatory proceedings.
