Elizabeth is experienced in both mechanical and naval engineering. She assists Michael Best attorneys with the drafting, preparation, and prosecution of patent applications in the U.S. and abroad.
Before joining Michael Best, Elizabeth worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Newport News Shipbuilding for two years. She focused on acoustical design, insulation, and ductwork arrangements, and developed and analyzed 3D modeling. Elizabeth also designed, programmed, and de-bugged a database program to enhance analysis of sound flanking paths.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Elizabeth worked as a Teaching Assistant for mechanical engineering laboratory courses. She also spent several years as an intern in the University’s Engineering Outreach program, where she introduced engineering principals to elementary school students and encouraged their interest in the STEM fields.
