Cesar focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation. He helps clients assert and defend their valuable IP rights against infringement. With specialized knowledge in the realm of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law, Cesar positions himself as a trusted professional who assists companies protect extensive IP portfolios in a competitive marketplace.

Cesar began his career at Michael Best as a Summer Associate, returning to the firm after graduating law school. While pursuing his J.D., he completed judicial internships in Illinois (the Honorable Eve Reilly) and Indiana (the Honorable Richard Stalbrink), gaining experience writing bench memoranda and court orders. Cesar was also a member of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law’s Review of Intellectual Property Law and served on the Trial & Dispute Resolution Honor’s Board, honing his advocacy skills competing in various national competitions.

Prior to his career in law, Cesar earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience and worked for a global pharmaceutical research organization, ultimately receiving a full merit-based scholarship to pursue his legal education at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
