Michael Best Celebrates 175 Years of Providing Exceptional Legal Services

Michael Best is proud to celebrate a milestone anniversary of 175 years, marking the firm’s legacy and commitment to delivering quality and innovative legal and consulting services to clients around the world.

As a full-service law firm founded in 1848, Michael Best has grown from its roots in Milwaukee to an AmLaw200 law firm, spanning across seven states with more than 17 offices nationwide. This nearly two-century journey underscores Michael Best’s evolution guided by the firm’s core values, including client value, integrity, diversity, excellence, innovation, collaboration, and community.

“We are extremely proud to celebrate this remarkable anniversary,” said David Krutz, Firm Managing Partner. “It is a great honor to reflect on the relationships we have built with our exceptional clients, and this milestone showcases the strong talent of the firm’s lawyers and professionals who have been instrumental in shaping our legacy. We look forward to a strong future as we continue to invest in our innovation and service offerings to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients.”

To commemorate this special anniversary, Michael Best will hold a series of celebratory events, highlighting the firm’s history, growth, and continued commitment to the Milwaukee community. Last week, Michael Best brought together the firm’s partnership from across the country, rolling out the next three-year strategic plan, Catalyst 2027: Empowering Growth.

As a tribute to Milwaukee’s unwavering support to the firm, Michael Best honored its hometown by lighting up the iconic HOAN Bridge by donating 175 bulbs to the Light The HOAN foundation. The dynamic, five-color spectrum light show served as a visual symbol of Michael Best’s deep appreciation and continued commitment to the Milwaukee community.

The firm’s commitment to invest in today, lights the way for a radiant tomorrow. Thank you for being part of Michael Best’s journey—and its future.
