Michael Best is pleased to announce that Bruce “Andy” Andrews has joined the firm. Andrews will be based in the Raleigh office. Andrews focuses his practice on transactional, regulatory, and corporate governance matters, and he regularly advises clients in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors.
“Andy’s impressive background and his breadth of experience will add great value to our clients,” said Carrie Meigs, Raleigh Office Manager Partner. “His industry-leading knowledge and his reputation will be a tremendous asset in our growing healthcare and non-profit practices.”
Prior to joining Michael Best, Andrews practiced at a global law firm. Additionally, Andrews previously served as the Associate University Counsel at UNC Chapel Hill, advising the University’s schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy on transactional, regulatory, and operational matters. He also served as the Associate Dean for Strategy & Compliance at UNC’s Adams School of Dentistry on an interim basis.
“The firm’s priority in expanding its work in the healthcare industry and nonprofit sector, combined with the continued growth in North Carolina and the all-encompassing talent of the law firm, Michael Best Strategies and Michael Best Consulting, will allow me to serve clients very well,” said Andrews. “I’m looking forward to joining the team and working alongside my new colleagues.”
Andrews received his J.D. from University of North Carolina School of Law and both his M.A. and B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. Prior to law school, Andrews practiced as a CPA in North Carolina.
