UK PM Boris Johnson, one of the most forward-leaning world leaders in support of Ukraine, is stepping down amid domestic scandals. Ukrainian officials, up to and including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed sadness over the decision.

WNBA star Brittney Griner pled guilty in a Russian court in hopes of a potential lighter sentence. Representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow were in attendance.

Amid UN warnings that the war in Ukraine will raise global poverty, a G20 Foreign Ministers meeting will emphasize Russia’s role in rising food insecurity. Ukraine summoned Turkey’s Ambassador as a Russian ship alleged to be containing stolen Ukrainian grain was allowed to leave port.

A U.S.-China meeting at the G20 summit is expected to focus on China’s support for Russia.

Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) visited Kyiv.
