Katarina is a member of the firm’s labor and employment relations practice group. She started her Michael Best career as a summer associate, returned as a law clerk, and finally joined the firm as an associate attorney after receiving her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
Katarina previously worked as a legal intern with Jury-X, a jury consulting and research firm, where she gained valuable experience with juror selection analytics and process. In legal internships with financial and investment services technology start-ups Ipreo and IHS Markit (both now part of S&P Global), Katarina reviewed and revised contracts, helped develop contract negotiation playbooks, and ensured contracts complied with applicable regulations.
Her experience also includes a legal internship with the Broome County District Attorney’s Office in New York, where she assisted with investigations and conducted legal research. In another legal internship with a business law firm, Katarina gained experience assisting attorneys with a variety of transactional legal matters.
While pursuing her J.D., Katarina worked as a pro bono volunteer at the University of North Carolina, participated in mock trial, held a board position on the North Carolina Law Review, and was a student representative for LexisNexis.
