Michael Best Welcomes Stacey Bowers as Senior Counsel in Washington, D.C. Office

Former Director of the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Joins Firm’s Capital Markets Team

National AmLaw 200 firm Michael Best is pleased to announce the addition of Stacey Bowers as Senior Counsel in the firm’s Capital Markets practice, based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Bowers brings to the firm a distinguished career in securities law, most recently serving as Director of the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In that role, she led national efforts to support small businesses and their investors, advocating for policy changes and regulatory clarity.

Prior to her SEC leadership, Bowers was a Professor of the Practice and Director of the Corporate and Commercial Law Program at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She also served as Of Counsel at 3Pillars Law, advising entrepreneurs and small business owners on capital raising strategies.
