Every year the SEC hosts a Small Business Forum and this year’s event takes place on Monday, March 9 starting at 1:00pm eastern time. The Forum includes panels on empowering early-stage entrepreneurs, supporting growth-stage companies, and examining considerations for IPOs and small cap companies. The event is open to the public and you can attend in person at the SEC’s headquarters in DC or view it online by registering <a href="https://surveys.sec.gov/jfe/form/SV_9Z6KORm6mewd1hs?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery">here</a>. The event brings together speakers and participants from across the small business ecosystem to talk about capital-raising and provides an opportunity to network with others in the space. It also affords an opportunity for the public, and in particular entrepreneurs and investors, to share their voice with the Commission by submitting and voting upon capital-raising policy recommendations. The top policy recommendations are shared at the Forum, as well as in the Small Business Forum Annual Report. The recommendations inform both the SEC and Congress as to the what the small business community views as the most important capital-raising priorities.
