Jane brings a well-versed background of experience to her work as a banking & financial services paralegal. As the lead paralegal in the firm’s Derivatives group, she assists bank clients as a documentation specialist for interest rate swaps, foreign exchange, and other derivative products. Jane also has extensive experience in assisting with matters involving estate planning, probate, and registered investment company filings with both the SEC and FINRA.

Courtney is an experienced commercial, business, and employment litigator with a lengthy record of success in bench and jury trials. He represents employers, companies, executives, and officers in a broad range of industry sectors. Courtney’s clients have included hedge funds, their founders and valued employees, private equity firms, property managers, major food producers, manufacturers, retailers, and fine art collectors, among others.

Kelly assists clients and Michael Best lawyers with business entity creation and maintenance, as well as a broad range of business transactions encompassing: acquisitions, mergers, conversions, foreign qualifications, tax exempt status, private placement of securities, federal securities law compliance, state business tax credits, new market tax credits, as well as general obligation and revenue bonds.

Dawn has been with Michael Best since 1990. She focuses her considerable experience on United States and international trademark prosecution, maintenance, protection, enforcement, and portfolio maintenance. In addition, Dawn regularly handles due diligence and chain of title issues and has experience with infringement investigations.

Kevin has been practicing labor and employment law his entire career, assisting private sector clients in health care, manufacturing, retail, food service, and service industries.

Himanshu brings integrity and perseverance to his work in the full spectrum of patent prosecution. Clients value his strong background in the area and his efficient management of complex projects.  Prior to joining the Chicago office of Michael Best, Himanshu worked as a patent paralegal for several years at Chicago-area intellectual property law firms. He earned a Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University in 2006. 

Jason combines legal experience and strategic vision in helping his clients structure, negotiate, and integrate corporate acquisitions. His training as a certified public accountant adds additional value to his representation of national, regional, and local clients in everything from private placements and general corporate matters to venture capital financing and corporate structuring and financing.
