Elizabeth R. Hansen

Elizabeth brings a strong record of leadership, service, and practical legal experience to her labor and employment practice. Drawing on experience in private practice, higher education, and public service settings, she approaches workplace and employment matters with a thoughtful, client-focused perspective. 

Before joining Michael Best, Elizabeth was a summer associate with the firm, where she researched employment law issues, drafted legal materials, and supported employer training and compliance initiatives. She also worked at an AmLaw 100 law firm, gaining additional exposure to labor and employment matters and strengthening her foundation in employer-focused legal services. 

Elizabeth further broadened her experience through an internship with a higher education institution's Office of General Counsel, where she worked on a range of regulatory, contractual, and institutional matters. Her commitment to public service includes volunteer work with the Milwaukee Justice Center and the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinics. During law school, she served as Business Editor of the Marquette Law Review and held leadership roles with the Labor and Employment Law Society and the Association of Women Lawyers.
