Elizabeth C. Wamboldt

Elizabeth advises companies on a broad range of commercial technology transactions and data privacy matters. Drawing on experience in both private practice and in-house roles, she brings a practical, business-focused perspective when counseling clients. 

She assists clients with software licensing, cloud and SaaS agreements, Internet of Things matters, services agreements, website and mobile application terms and policies, supply chain agreements, and a wide range of other technology-driven contracts.  

Elizabeth’s practice also includes comprehensive data privacy counseling, and she advises on compliance with state, federal, and international privacy and security laws. She assists clients with developing privacy programs, drafting privacy policies and cookie notices, helping to conduct data mapping, negotiating data processing agreements, navigating international data transfers, responding to data subject requests, and other similar matters.  

Elizabeth assists clients across a broad range of industries regarding their industry-specific privacy and technology contracting needs, including manufacturing, education, communications, e-commerce, healthcare, and consumer products. 

In addition, Elizabeth drafts and negotiates a broad range of commercial and intellectual property agreements and supports clients with process improvements, policy drafting, artificial intelligence (AI) policies, and training on privacy, security, and AI matters. 

Before joining Michael Best, Elizabeth practiced at a large national law firm and previously held in-house contracting roles at a healthcare technology company and a global healthcare organization.
