Dana joins Michael Best’s Intellectual Property group with extensive experience in the development and protection of trademark and copyright portfolios in the U.S. and internationally. She advises clients on clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and licensing strategies that align with broader business and marketing&nbsp;objectives.&nbsp;

Her practice includes prosecuting trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and handling oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and international trademark offices. Dana develops global enforcement strategies, prepares cease and desist and settlement agreements, negotiates trademark licenses, and&nbsp;counsels&nbsp;clients on brand protection across digital platforms, including domain name clearance and enforcement, UDRP proceedings, and online takedown programs.&nbsp;

She also&nbsp;advises on&nbsp;copyright clearance, registration, and enforcement and conducts intellectual property diligence in leveraged finance, private equity, and M&amp;A transactions. Known for her creative and strategic approach to resolving trademark disputes, Dana collaborates effectively with clients, colleagues, and adversaries and&nbsp;mentors&nbsp;junior attorneys and staff.&nbsp;

Dana has represented clients across a wide range of industries, including safety science, finance, professional sports and lifestyle brands, beauty and fashion, arts and entertainment, hospitality, wine and alcohol, life sciences and biotech, software, shipping and global supply management, cannabis, and pharmaceuticals.&nbsp;

Before joining the firm, she served as IP and Marketing Counsel at UL LLC and previously practiced at several national and international law firms. Earlier in her career, she held production and editorial roles at Lifetime Television and VH1/MTV Networks.&nbsp;

Dana&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;an active pro bono practice focused on affirmative gender and political asylum cases.&nbsp;
