Michael Best is pleased to announce that Robb Angus, CIPP/US has joined the firm’s Privacy &amp; Cybersecurity sub-group as Senior Counsel. He will be located in the Chicago office.

Angus brings more than a decade of experience to the firm. With a solid foundation built during his tenure at one of the largest insurance companies in the U.S, Angus has expertise and best practices in privacy compliance, data protection strategy, and artificial intelligence initiatives.

“Robb’s extensive in-house background in data security will be invaluable as we continue to guide clients through the evolving landscape of privacy laws and digital challenges,” said Dan Jones, the firm’s Privacy &amp; Cybersecurity sub-group leader. “His deep knowledge of privacy law and his commitment to success will further enhance our capabilities in serving clients across various industries.”

Prior to joining Michael Best, Angus served as Counsel at Allstate Insurance Company. His impressive background includes advising on and managing GDPR and domestic state privacy law compliance initiatives, privacy impact assessments, proactive cybersecurity roadmaps, data protection policies, licensing technology contracts, and artificial intelligence and emerging technologies frameworks, implementation, and experience efforts.

Angus is certified by IAPP as a Certified Information Privacy Professional in the laws of the United States (CIPP/US). He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and his B.A., <em>cum laude, </em>from DePaul University.
