Michael Best is pleased to announce that Logan Threadgill has joined the firm’s Wilmington office as partner in the Litigation practice group. Threadgill brings more than a decade of experience representing owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty contractors in complex construction disputes involving multimillion-dollar commercial developments and high-end residential projects.
Threadgill handles a broad range of construction matters, including defective design and construction claims, payment and delay disputes, warranty issues, bidding disputes, mechanics’ and materialmen’s lien enforcement claim, consumer protection claims, and contractual disputes. He represents clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, and mediation and develops litigation strategies that account for the legal, financial, and operational implications of each matter. He also drafts and negotiates construction contracts and advises clients on licensing, insurance, bonding, and other issues affecting construction projects.
“Logan’s extensive construction litigation experience and practical approach to resolving complex disputes will be a strong addition to our team,” said Tracy James, partner and National Construction Leader at Michael Best. “His understanding of the construction industry and the business considerations surrounding these matters will further strengthen the counsel we provide to clients navigating sophisticated projects and disputes.”
In addition to his construction practice, Threadgill represents businesses and financial institutions in commercial disputes involving contract claims, loan disputes, and bankruptcy matters.
“We are excited to welcome Logan to Michael Best and our Wilmington office,” said Andrew Jones, National Strategic Growth Partner and Managing Partner of North Carolina offices at Michael Best. “His construction and commercial litigation experience adds valuable depth to our capabilities in North Carolina and will help us continue meeting the evolving needs of clients in the region and nationwide.”
Threadgill earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law and his B.A. in Business Economics and Government from Wofford College.
