Michael Best is pleased to announce that Katherine (Katie) A. Fillmore has joined the firm as Partner in the Litigation practice group. She will be located in the Austin office.

As a seasoned litigator with over a decade of experience, Fillmore manages and conducts all aspects of litigation before state and federal courts and arbitrators, including taking and defending depositions, developing case strategies, evaluating complex legal and regulatory compliance issues, working with clients, experts, and corporate witnesses, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, trying cases, and drafting and arguing appeals.

With a robust background in high-stakes commercial litigation, appeals, and regulatory compliance, Fillmore has established herself as a formidable advocate for clients in various industries such as representation of healthcare providers, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, construction companies, and financial institutions.

Fillmore has been recognized for her outstanding achievements, including being named to <em>Best Lawyers</em> "Ones to Watch" in Administrative/Regulatory Law, Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, and Government Relations Practice.

Fillmore earned her J.D. from Baylor Law School, and graduated with a B.S. in Advertising, with high honors, from the University of Texas.
