Malin A. Ehrsam

Malin is an attorney at Michael Best, working within the firm’s Labor & Employment Group. She partners with employers to navigate workplace challenges and manage employment-related risk.

Malin advises and represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. Her practice includes employment litigation, administrative agency proceedings, workplace investigations, and employment counseling. She works with employers to address workplace disputes, manage employment-related risk, and navigate federal, state, and local employment law requirements. Malin also assists employers with multi-state compliance challenges, providing practical guidance on evolving workplace laws affecting organizations with employees in multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Michael Best, Malin worked in education as a teacher and school administrator. That experience provides her with a practical understanding of workplace dynamics, employee relations, and organizational decision-making that informs her approach to advising employers.

During law school, Malin gained employment law experience as a law clerk with Wisconsin's largest school district, where she handled unemployment proceedings, workplace investigations, and employment-related administrative matters on behalf of the employer. She also served as Editor in Chief of the Marquette Benefits and Social Welfare Law Review and dedicated significant time to pro bono service through the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic and Task Force McCoy Legal Clinic. Malin continues to volunteer with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, providing legal assistance to members of the Milwaukee community.
