Michael Best Partner Lauren Triebenbach Honored as a Wisconsin Law Journal "Top Women in the Law"

Michael Best is proud to announce that partner Lauren Triebenbach has been honored as one of the "Top Women in the Law" by the Wisconsin Law Journal for 2025. The prestigious recognition celebrates exceptional women in the legal community who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and leadership across various areas of the legal profession.

Triebenbach has achieved significant milestones throughout her professional career at Michael Best, including serving as the first woman lead of the firm’s Construction Law Section. During Triebenbach’s leadership, the practice has earned a Regional Tier 1 Ranking in Milwaukee by Best Lawyers and has been recognized for its exceptional client service. In 2023, Triebenbach was recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in the field of Construction Law in Milwaukee. Triebenbach’s expertise in construction law has led to substantial settlements, benefiting clients and reinforcing the firm’s reputation, and her litigation skills have been instrumental in resolving complex disputes, including representing developers and suppliers in significant legal battles and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Beyond her professional achievements, Triebenbach is deeply committed to community leadership, volunteerism, and mentoring. She has served on the board of Arts @ Large for seven years, including as Vice Chair. Her long-standing service as Chair of the Whitefish Bay Architectural Review Commission underscores her commitment to community development. An active member of Women Commercial Real Estate (WCREW), the Association of Women Lawyers (AWL), NAIOP Wisconsin, and the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law, she significantly contributes to the advancement of the profession and supports colleagues through mentorship.

Triebenbach’s leadership has also extended to the State Bar of Wisconsin's Construction and Public Law Section, where she served as Secretary (2021-2022, 2024-2025), Vice Chair (2022-2023), and Chair (2023-2024).  She has been instrumental in developing and presenting two Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs hosted by the Section and has also contributed to numerous speaking engagements over the past year at various Michael Best client events and NAIOP Wisconsin initiatives.

Triebenbach holds a J.D. from the Marquette University Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
