Overview

Ashni counsels clients in a broad range of complex litigation matters and civil disputes, as well as litigation avoidance strategies.

Ashni began her career at Michael Best as a Summer Associate, returning to the firm after graduating law school. During law school, Ashni gained exposure to various litigation proceedings as a judicial intern for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and as an intern for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In those positions, Ashni drafted opinions, wrote bench memos, and gained exposure to court proceedings, hearings, and trials. Ashni also honed her advocacy skills as an award-winning oralist for Loyola Chicago’s Thomas Tang Moot Court competition and the New York City Bar Association’s National Moot Court team. Before attending law school, Ashni served in the AmeriCorps Vista program at Rockford University, where she gained valuable experience in grant writing while helping to develop programs and initiatives to support underprivileged segments of the community.
