Michael Best is pleased to announce that Eric Johnston has joined the firm as a Partner in the Litigation practice group. He will be based in the Austin office.
As a seasoned commercial litigator, Johnston joins the firm with nearly two decades of experience. He focuses his practice on complex litigation matters ranging from commercial litigation to employment law and government liability to products liability law, and he has handled a range of cases from commercial disputes, employment discrimination claims, Fair Labor Standards Act claims, trade secrets, and commercial contracts.

Johnston’s additional experience includes defending products liability actions on behalf of pharmaceutical and medical device clients and personal injury actions. He also has experience handling creditor's rights and bankruptcy issues. Prior to joining Michael Best, Johnston was a partner at a full-service Texas-based firm.

Johnston has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a Labor & Employment Star and was named as one of the top Austin Attorneys in Civil Law Litigation by Austin Monthly.
He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and his B.S. from Purdue University. Eric is also a Trial College Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
