Michael Best Chicago Office Announces Move to West Loop

Law Firm Relocates to River Point to Accommodate Growth, Collaboration

CHICAGO (December 12, 2016) – After 25 years, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP (Michael Best) has announced that it will be relocating its Chicago offices from Prudential Plaza, located at 181 N. Stetson, to the newly constructed River Point tower at 444 W. Lake Street. On December 30th, the nearly 80-person office will officially occupy the 32nd floor of the 52,600-square-foot tower.

For several years, Michael Best has put an emphasis on building client service teams, which has led to consistent and steady expansion. In just the past year, the Chicago office alone gained 89 new clients and added nearly 20 new hires. “The office at River Point will allow continued growth, while adhering to a collaborative culture that takes an integrative approach to client issues,” said Chicago Office Managing Partner, Kerryann Haase Minton.

The layout at River Point has been strategically planned to give more emphasis to Michael Best’s vibrant, team-oriented, and egalitarian environment. With 26,000 square feet of office space, the design eliminates corner offices and includes floor-to-ceiling glass walls, uniform offices, and collaborative meeting rooms with state-of-the-art technology, all of which aim to foster a synergetic work culture with clients’ needs in mind. The office also features a coffee bar in the reception area and sitting/standing desks at all office and work stations.

This fall, Michael Best also underwent a brand refresh that included a revision of its logo and website. Created with the user experience in mind, the website now has a more user-friendly design with streamlined navigation, as well as a more responsive design for tablets and smartphones. Paired with its rebranding initiative, Michael Best recently introduced its inaugural firm-wide volunteer initiative, Best Efforts Day which works to connect employees with a range of local, regional, and national non-profit organizations through sponsorships, committee participation, volunteerism, board memberships, and other means, including the pro bono time.
