Destiney focuses on complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and appellate matters. She represents and advises clients in both state and federal court proceedings, providing strategic counsel at all stages of litigation, including trial and the appellate. Her experience includes a wide range of commercial disputes, insolvency-related litigation, and creditor-debtor issues. Destiney is committed to delivering practical, results-driven solutions tailored to each client’s business objectives.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Destiney represented financial institutions in litigation and financial services matters at a full-service law firm, handling pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, and court appearances across a range of commercial disputes. She also practiced at a national firm where she advised distressed companies in Chapter 11 proceedings and supported the development of restructuring strategies.
Earlier in her career, Destiney served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Craig T. Goldblatt on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, and to the Honorable Tamika Montgomery-Reeves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Destiney began her legal practice at a boutique law firm, where she represented clients in consumer and business bankruptcy proceedings and complex commercial disputes.
