Travis advises businesses, executives, and investors on a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and contracts. Travis also serves as primary outside counsel to several privately held companies in a diverse range of sectors, including real estate investments, property management, transportation, manufacturing, technology, and professional services, among others.

In addition to his active practice, Travis leads Michael Best’s growth and client development efforts in the eastern region of North Carolina, and across the country.  Prior to joining Michael Best in 2022, Travis began his career with a real estate boutique firm, before establishing his own business law practice. In 2019, due to the growth of his practice and client base, Travis joined Forrest Firm and its statewide platform, where he successfully led the firm’s client relationship efforts in eastern North Carolina and throughout the southeast.

Outside of his law practice, Travis dedicates considerable time to community leadership and support. He has been involved with numerous organizations throughout his career, including Opendoor Church of Winterville, Pitt-Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Toys for Tots, Pitt County Bar Association, Pitt Greenville Soccer Association, Greenville Parks and Recreation, and East Carolina University’s Miller School of Entrepreneurship.
