My Why

What powers my practice

Before college, an internship at a human rights organization in Jerusalem—and a mentor’s charge to “Know what is fair. Know what is unfair. Then act.”—set me on the path to law school with a passion for justice. While my career ultimately led to corporate litigation, that early commitment to fairness remains central to how I practice today. In high-stakes, complex matters, I’m most fulfilled when relentless preparation and strategic clarity shift outcomes in meaningful ways. Fairness, to me, means ensuring every client is heard, every issue is examined, and every decision is grounded in integrity. That same principle shapes how I lead and support others. Whether mentoring junior attorneys, collaborating with colleagues, or guiding our Women’s Development Group, I see fairness as a daily practice. I hope clients and teammates alike experience me as a steady presence who brings clarity, integrity, and relentless effort to every matter, and delivers results that reflect those values.

Overview

Tanya is passionate about advising and advocating for her clients. She methodically evaluates each dispute to determine how to resolve it most efficiently and favorably for her clients, whether it’s a negotiated settlement or trial.

Tanya is a skilled litigator. She has handled matters in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings throughout the country. She has experience in a wide array of complex business litigation matters, including disputes over contracts, business torts, real estate, and trademark infringement. Additionally, Tanya has represented companies accused of violating federal and state consumer protection laws, including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) lawsuits. Moreover, Tanya has assisted and advised clients on all aspects of federal and state contracting obtaining successful outcomes in bid protests and appeals.

Tanya also spends her time as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, teaching Pre-Trial Advocacy.

  • Vital member of trial team, winning a $108 million jury verdict in an intellectual property suit in federal court.
  • First-chaired a federal court trial, obtaining a $2 million judgment.
  • Represented a client in federal court against FCRA claims, winning on summary judgment.
  • Represented client on appeal, successfully obtaining a reversal of the circuit court’s summary judgment decision.
