Rory is a Patent Engineer who assists with drafting, preparation, and prosecution of patent applications related to mechanical innovations. Rory works alongside Michael Best attorneys and leverages his experience in engineering and design to advise on and secure patent protection for the firm’s intellectual property clients.

While pursuing his degree, Rory gained extensive experience working on technical projects, including researching hybrid solar and wind energy vertical turbine designs to determine their commercial viability and working with a design team to program a system used to estimate the cost of running a HVAC system. He also has investigated strategies used by telecommunication companies to protect their intellectual property, including policies pertaining to SEPs and FRAND licensing.
