Robin’s practice is focused on commercial litigation and includes all manner of intellectual property, real estate, and contract disputes.

She brings experience from the private and the public sector, both from a prosecution and defense perspective. Robin has successfully litigated, mediated, arbitrated, and settled matters involving patent infringement, trademark infringement, breach of contract, breach of warranty, theft of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, civil theft, Lanham Act violations, fraud, real estate, and shareholder disputes. Robin leverages her significant trial experience to advise her clients on the best course of action. Her accounting background helps her understand complicated financial disputes and advise her clients with ease.

Robin has experience navigating litigation arising from clients' ordinary business operations, including contract disputes, product liability, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, tortious interference, property and real estate disputes, and breach of fiduciary duty. Robin has tried over 65 jury trials, and has obtained favorable results for her clients, including the following representative matters:

• Obtained dismissal for her client accused in a Colorado Premises Liability Act case where the Plaintiff was demanding six figures in damages;
• In a multi-year patent infringement lawsuit, obtained a favorable outcome for her client through settlement that reduced exposure by ten-fold;
• Successfully arbitrated a complex business dispute and obtained a favorable result for her client on claims including breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty by working with experts in forensic accounting, fraud, and accounting reconstruction;
• Obtained a verdict in her client’s favor following a court trial in a Colorado state court real property dispute; and
• In a lawsuit alleging constitutional violations by her client, obtained dismissal of all claims against her client through summary judgment and prevailed on appeal at the Seventh Circuit;

Robin also has experience defending clients against claims of legal malpractice and has obtained favorable results for clients faced with disciplinary investigations and proceedings.

Prior to joining Michael Best, Robin was an associate attorney at a local full-service firm where she gained valuable experience litigating real estate and business disputes. Before that, she spent five years as a prosecutor, first for the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, then as deputy district attorney for the City and County of Denver.
