Matthew Iverson

Matthew’s background spans appellate advocacy, civil litigation, and public-sector legal work. He has conducted legal research, developed institutional policies and guidance, reviewed contracts, and assisted with employment litigation, guardianship hearings, and small claims matters. Through the Federal Appeals Clinic, he has also worked on criminal appellate matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  

Before joining Michael Best, Matthew worked as a litigation paralegal with a national law firm, where he managed matters involving general liability and toxic tort claims. He also assisted with appellate briefs before state and federal courts and helped coordinate subpoena responses for a major client. His additional experience includes supporting the legislative process through the Wisconsin State Senate Sergeant at Arms Office.
