My Why
What powers my practice
My interest in law began with an entertainment law class during my master’s program at Columbia University, where I developed negotiating and drafting skills and gained copyright expertise. I then worked in the entertainment industry, where I gained hands-on experience with complex copyright issues and related agreements in a wide variety of applications – from negotiating licensing deals to managing branding strategies. That foundation showed me how I could leverage my entertainment industry experience into a legal career focused on brand protection, which led me to law school. The most fulfilling aspect of my work is empowering creators and innovators by helping bring their visions to life through strategic guidance – knowing I helped ensure their work is protected and respected. I also share my knowledge to build community, serving on a nonprofit arts board and leading Milwaukee’s chapter of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. My priority is to deliver practical, business-focused solutions while building trusted relationships that support long-term success.
