My Why
What powers my practice
I had spent years working in the tech industry when my service as a local elected official and a bout of jury duty combined to set me on the road to becoming an attorney. (Ask me about it sometime – it’s an interesting story!) Despite my having watched every episode of “Law and Order,” my background as an engineer meant that there really was no question that I would end up as a patent lawyer.
That’s a good thing. My practice is an extension of my first career, not a departure from it. I can bring practical industry experience to bear on my clients’ projects. I truly enjoy working with inventors and other creators to help them protect their creations. I get to share in their excitement for their work, and I am always learning something new.
