Overview

Crystal focuses on complex commercial litigation, delivering plain English, business-forward solutions. She represents clients across industries in high-stakes disputes and runs cases end to end—from discovery and motion practice through depositions and resolution. She has served as lead counsel in federal court.

She also handles construction-related disputes, drawing on her experience in real estate, litigation, and restructuring. She represents owners, developers, lenders, and contractors in contract disputes, payment and lien issues, and project-related claims, with a practical understanding of how deals are structured and financed, especially when projects go sideways.

Crystal’s practice has also included restructuring and workout matters, including asset sales, lender negotiations, and real estate issues arising in distressed situations. She has handled large, data-heavy matters in Chapter 11 cases, including fee review analyses and a multi-jurisdictional remediation effort across federal courts.

Earlier in her career, she clerked for the Honorable Michael E. Keasler on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the state’s highest appellate court for criminal matters. There, she worked on constitutional criminal appeals, evaluated petitions for discretionary review and post-conviction matters, and drafted memoranda, proposed dispositions, and opinions addressing complex procedural issues.
