Cantesi L. Tiggs

Cantesi brings more than twenty years of experience to the representation of landlords, tenants, owners and operators across a broad spectrum of real estate matters, including retail, office and industrial leasing, construction and design, and mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. 

Beyond her real estate and construction work, Cantesi has broad general transactional experience negotiating third party logistics agreements and master service agreements covering a variety of corporate service functions. These have included property management services, food and vendor services, mail and copy services, guard and security services, and electric generation services. She also advises senior level management on a regular basis regarding day-to-day operational questions, cost saving measures and portfolio management. 

Cantesi joined Michael Best with the New York team of Kane Kessler, P.C. Before joining Kane Kessler P.C., she served as Vice President at a major residential real estate services company in Madison, New Jersey. Prior to her time there, she practiced in New York as an attorney concentrating in real estate and construction law.

Cantesi has represented clients in the following matters: 

• Negotiated leases, construction contracts and ancillary agreements covering a Fortune 500 company's portfolio of nearly 7 million square feet of office and retail space nationwide. 
• Advised senior management and handled the legal work for acquisitions and dispositions of real estate, including the purchase of a Fortune 500 company's LEED Gold, 270,000 square foot headquarters together with the simultaneous sale of the company's 377,000 square foot headquarters. 
• Negotiated multiple multi-million dollar disbursement agreements in connection with the construction and expansion of premises. 
• Negotiated and closed the purchase and sale of limited liability company interests in order to effect the transfer of a portion of the ownership interest in real property.
