My Why
What powers my practice
I became interested in a legal career in college when a professor explained what it meant to “think like a lawyer.” I was immediately drawn to the logic and problem-solving behind it and found myself energized by the challenge. What I enjoy most is tackling difficult problems—losing myself in the process of finding solutions that at first seem impossible. I strive to bring clarity to complex issues, turning the chaos of litigation into order and resolution.
Overview
Brenton is a commercial litigation and bankruptcy attorney. Brenton represents businesses and individuals in contract disputes, business breakups, mechanic’s lien litigation, construction defect actions, and tort claims in state and federal courts through trial and appeal. Though Brenton litigates cases of all sizes and levels of complexity, his practice often involves cases with numerous parties and claims, sometimes with parallel proceedings in other courts.
Brenton’s bankruptcy practice involves representing creditors, debtors, and bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 7 liquidations and Chapter 11 reorganizations. He brings and defends adversary proceedings, prosecutes plans of reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, and assists clients with negotiations to avoid bankruptcy altogether.
