Benjamin J. Woodruff

Ben advocates for clients in civil litigation across both state and federal courts, with a concentration in commercial disputes, professional liability, and bankruptcy cases. He also brings experience in liability defense, representing physicians, hospitals, and attorneys in both courtroom and administrative settings.

Additionally, Ben has a background in energy law from his time at a Houston-based firm, where he advised clients on title matters, regulatory compliance, and transactional issues.

After graduation with honors, Ben served as a law clerk at the Oregon Court of Appeals, working first with Justice Bronson D. James and later with Judge Ramón A. Pagán. During law school gained valuable experience through internships with Judge Michael Fagone at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine and Judge Kermit Lipez at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Ben also studied commercial arbitration in London, gaining insight into alternative dispute resolution practices.

Before attending law school, Ben worked as a landman in the upstream oil and gas sector for several Denver-based operators. He brings extensive title experience across Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, and Montana, and has led due diligence teams on asset transactions exceeding $4 billion in total value.
