Steven J. Joffee 

As Managing Partner of Michael Best’s Salt Lake City office and a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Joffee leads efforts related to growth and development across the state and nation. He also plays a key role in establishing enduring client relationships and optimizing the efficiency of legal deliverables across the firm. He also serves as a trusted advisor, lead litigation counsel, and privacy and cybersecurity expert to many top national and international companies. 

Evan S. Strassberg 

Strassberg is a seasoned litigator and trial attorney with nearly 25 years of professional experience. He represents institutional and individual clients in high-stakes and often complex litigation in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. He has handled a wide variety of matters and represented clients in courts all over the country but has expertise in claims involving breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and violations of state and federal securities laws. 

Betsy T. Voter

Within the firm, Voter serves as a Management Committee Member and Industry Group Chair of Broker-Dealers & Investment Advisers. She focuses her practice on financial services, securities law, and regulatory compliance where she has extensive experience in advising clients on compliance with federal and state securities laws and their impact on broker-dealers, investment advisers, and public companies. She also helps design compliance policies and written supervisory procedures, has performed internal investigations and implemented remediation programs for clients, and assisted with inquiries, examinations, and enforcement actions related to the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state securities divisions.
