A perennial presence on The Hill’s prestigious list of top lobbyists in Washington, D.C., Tami Jackson Buckner is a dynamic and collaborative leader in the policy and political arenas, dedicated to empowering corporate and nonprofit leaders to create meaningful value for their shareholders and society. With over 25 years of experience and an extensive bipartisan network, she serves as Partner &amp; Chair of the Energy Practice and Head of the Federal Government Relations Practice at Michael Best. Tami is a respected policy strategist with issue expertise in agriculture, food and beverage, and renewable energy, having shaped the legislative landscape for Waste Management and held influential public affairs roles at Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola, and DuPont. Recently joining the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., she also serves on several boards, including the Advisory Board for Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, the board of directors for the Congressional Management Foundation, and as a Board Trustee for Stillman College, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to community engagement and leadership.

Sarah leads Strategies’ international trade and federal procurement practices. With nearly 20 years of experience across the legal, federal policy, and political sectors, Sarah helps Strategies clients successfully navigate the federal government by developing and implementing legislative and regulatory strategies that create market opportunities, mitigate challenges, and help companies positively brand themselves before decision-makers. Her leadership and work have resulted in clients successfully mitigating threats of tariffs and securing millions in federal funding to reinvest and grow their businesses.

Lucia is a skilled government relations professional with more than 10 years of experience effectively advocating for her clients on Capitol Hill. She helps clients develop and execute short- and long-term policy strategies to achieve their business objectives. Lucia’s areas of expertise include appropriations and the federal budget, energy and environment, defense and national security, transportation, tax, labor and employment, education, healthcare, and economic development. In addition to her duties at Michael Best, Lucia serves as president-emerita of the non-partisan, non-profit the Hispanic Lobbyists Association, which advocates for Hispanic representation in the advocacy industry.
