Dairy Biogas Projects Gain Steam

June is Dairy Month and the American Biogas Council (ABC) marked it by releasing new data on the surge of biogas project development in the dairy industry. According to ABC, farms capturing and converting methane from manure and turning it into renewable natural gas (RNG) represent nearly $4 billion of capital project investment since 2020. Most of these projects are in Wisconsin (which leads the nation in cheese and biogas projects!), Texas and Idaho. Unlike some other forms of renewable energy, the raw material that fuels these projects is always available!
