Veronica’s practice focuses on litigation avoidance and dispute resolution. She started her Michael Best career as a summer associate, returned as a law clerk, and joined the firm as an associate attorney after completing her law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
While pursuing her J.D., Veronica also worked as a law clerk for Alliant Energy, where she drafted and negotiated a variety of commercial contracts and conducted legal and regulatory research. She gained additional experience with the University of Wisconsin Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic, counseling start-ups on entity formation, IP protection, and general business matters. Veronica also worked as a project administrator for the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office as part of the Student Expulsion Prevention Project, assisting students facing expulsion and facilitating attorney representation for the students and their guardians. Additionally, she served on the E-Board of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society as the Senior Note and Comment Editor.
Before pursuing a career in law, Veronica earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry, during which time she spent 18 months as a university research assistant. She then worked as a high school chemistry and science teacher for several years.
