Overview

Tim assists companies with corporate and transactional matters, with focus on the blockchain and web3 sectors and the start-up and new venture capital sectors. He has extensive knowledge in blockchain regulation, business organizations, start-up planning and fundraising, bankruptcy law and proceedings, corporate restructuring, and commercial litigation.

He is also an entrepreneur and the founder of Cloutchain, a fan engagement and social platform built on an NFT protocol. Tim understands the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, and he helps them navigate these issues seamlessly. He also leverages a deep understanding of market analysis and strategic business planning strategies to help his clients achieve their business goals.

Prior to joining Michael Best, Tim practiced at a full-service law firm where he handled a range of transactional matters including corporate formations and restructuring, contracts, financing, and bankruptcy litigation. While pursuing his law degree, Tim served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Dustin Pead in the United States District Court for the District of Utah and The Honorable Chief Judge R. Kimball Mosier in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah.

Earlier, Tim gained valuable experience as a New Venture Development Associate with the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, as a Legal Intern with the Consumer Federation of America, and as a Research Fellow with the Utah’s Center for Law and Biomedical Sciences. Before pursuing a career in law, Tim spent six years in banking and rose to an Assistant Vice President role with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.
