Tom has practiced law in North Carolina for more than 35 years. He represents clients in the areas of corporate and transactional law, tax law, tax controversies and litigation, conservation easements, estate planning, and estate administration. Throughout his lengthy career, Tom has successfully represented clients before multiple state and federal courts.
Additionally, Tom has developed deep experience and acumen in tax law related to conservation easements. He regularly lectures on tax and estate planning matters, and he has provided technical manuscripts on conservation easements to educational programs sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina State University, and various land trusts across the state. Tom also represents a number of non-profit organizations.
Before joining Michael Best, Tom was a member of full-service North Carolina-based Forrest Firm. He previously founded and led the Worth Law Firm in Greensboro, North Carolina.
