Thomas works with clients in the real estate group at Michael Best, drawing on experience in bankruptcy law, contract analysis, and client advocacy.
Prior to joining Michael Best, he served as a law clerk at a debtor-creditor law firm where he led Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, drafted legal briefs, and helped clients refinance assets to avoid property sales. He supported more than 30 individuals navigating Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings, real estate planning, and tax debt discharge, coordinating with agencies including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of Revenue (DOR), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
He also served as an independent legal contractor with VMG Health, where he analyzed nearly 100 Master Service Agreements and advised senior counsel on optimizing contract terms and pricing strategies.
