As Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Susan collaborates closely with other firm leaders to chart a course for strategic growth, client service, and business development. She works across all activity areas within Michael Best, builds value-driven external partnerships, and manages the firm’s Strategic Plan.
An important aspect of Susan’s mission is to develop deep relationships with our firm’s client base, understand their service needs, and assess how we can best add value for clients. With her creative mindset and keen sense of business strategy, Susan knows how to brainstorm and translate ideas into action.
Susan previously served as Michael Best’s Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer for five years. In that role, she was responsible for helping the firm attract, grow, and retain clients. She built up and led the team that handles all aspects of marketing communications, public and community relations, and business development planning and activities.
Before joining Michael Best, Susan served as the senior director of marketing and business development at an international AmLaw 100 firm focused on labor and employment law. Prior to that, she was director of strategic projects and held several marketing and business development positions in the transactional group at a Global 100 law firm.
