Serge works with clients in the corporate group at Michael Best, bringing experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities, bankruptcy law, entity formation and governance, and venture capital matters. He began his legal career as a summer intern with the Office of the U.S. Bankruptcy Administrator for the Middle District of North Carolina, where he drafted court orders and memoranda, conducted research, and worked closely with attorneys, trustees, and federal bankruptcy judges.
Prior to that, Serge enjoyed the unique experience of working as a legal intern in Dublin, Ireland, where he supported litigation efforts and transactional matters throughout the Four Courts while working directly with clients across different legal systems.
During his time in law school, Serge served as Teaching Assistant for one of his favorite courses – Business Organizations and was an avid member of the Business Law Society.
Serge brings a robust educational background in finance and entrepreneurship to the practice of corporate law, which he believes is imperative to understanding client needs and properly counseling businesses throughout their life cycle.
Before law, Serge interned with a pharmaceutical technology company during its IPO process, supporting investor relations and compliance efforts. He even got to participate first-hand in the ringing of the opening bell from the Nasdaq stage in Times Square.
