Jeff’s practice focuses on a variety of commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general business law. Jeff also advises clients on business planning issues such as entity selection and formation; and business planning and succession.

Lyle focuses his practice in the area of intellectual property and transactional law. He provides end-to-end counsel to help clients identify, protect, and commercialize IP assets including trademarks, patents, and trade secrets. He works closely with his clients to understand their business priorities and help them align their IP, contractual, and government procurement needs to support those goals.

Jeff helps clients capitalize on crucial technology and IP assets through licensing and other strategic alliances.

He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a full range of patent, trademark, and software licensing agreements, joint development agreement, collaborative, and sponsored research agreements, and material and university technology transfer agreements.

Farrah serves Michael Best in two capacities: as partner in the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group. Her practice focuses on employment counseling and employment litigation, with a particular emphasis on discrimination, noncompetition, and Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
