Sean supports Michael Best’s Intellectual Property practice, assisting with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications involving biomedical devices and digital and analog electronic devices. He draws on hands-on technical experience with hardware and software systems—including circuit design, MATLAB programming, and statistical analysis—to help translate complex innovations into clear, strategic patent filings.
Before joining the firm full-time, Sean participated in Michael Best’s EDGE summer internship program, where he contributed to patent portfolio management and conducted prior art searches and drafted Office Action responses. Sean has also worked on technical projects, including prototyping a novel adaptive toy for children with disabilities. His background includes a clinical laboratory internship at Ascend Clinical, where he supported automation operations and troubleshooting of Siemens Atellica analyzers, and leadership experience as a student manager at Marquette University Law School.
