A member of the Wisconsin Agri-Business Association Grain Committee, he has spoken and written on topics ranging from grain and feed legislation and regulatory updates to opportunities created by the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS).

Porter is a former leader of Michael Best’s Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions Group. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Archer Daniels Midland Company, as well on the Chicago Board of Trade.
