Overview

Nicole represents corporate and individual clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including construction, product liability, personal injury, and commercial disputes. She guides cases from start to finish—drafting and arguing key motions, taking depositions, and managing the discovery process. Her work also includes preparing matters for trial through pretrial motions, hearings, and thoughtful strategic planning. Throughout each case, she collaborates closely with partners, paralegals, and supports staff to ensure efficient, cohesive case management.

Prior to joining Michael Best, Nicole worked as a judicial law clerk for Judge Juan Alanis in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. In that role, she researched complex legal issues using major research platforms, drafted judicial opinions and bench memoranda, and closely monitored federal court proceedings to support the judge’s decision making.

Additionally, Nicole brings strong research and writing experience, having handled diverse legal claims, drafted motions and memoranda, and supported deposition preparation, negotiations, and mediations.
