Nathan represents clients in a variety of litigation matters, and has considerable expertise in both the government and healthcare sectors. He also advises candidates, political committees, and corporations on a variety of regulatory and political law issues.
Before joining Michael Best, Nathan was Associate Counsel for the Republican National Committee, where he advised the organization’s leadership, as well as state parties, on a broad array of legal matters. He also served as Associate Counsel for the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee, where he worked with the National Park Service and District of Columbia’s Department of Transportation to plan and permit public events for the inauguration.
Nathan’s additional recent roles include:
- Served as Counsel to the Republican National Committee’s Site Selection Committee which was responsible for selecting and negotiating contracts with the host city for the 2020 Republican National Convention
- Served as Counsel to the Republican National Committee’s Rules and Resolutions Committees
- Helped develop ballot access plans for campaign committee during the 2016 presidential primary
Earlier in his career, Nathan served as a law clerk for then-Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s presidential campaign committee and later served as a legal extern in the Walker administration’s Office of Legal Counsel. Nathan also worked as a law clerk for Assurant Health and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Kitty K. Brennan of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals’ First District. Prior to becoming an attorney, Nathan worked for a major U.S. pharmaceutical company.
