Overview

Lydia brings a background in electrical engineering to her work in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patents. Her broad experience with patent prosecution, particularly in the wireless communications industry, helps clients to successfully strategize the management of their patent portfolios.

Lydia advises clients in patent prosecution specifically in the electrical arts, mechanical arts, applied physics, computer software, and business methods.

Lydia is particularly well-versed with patent prosecution in international settings. She is exceptionally skilled in drafting patent applications and anticipating (and overcoming) legal challenges that arise during prosecution.

Prior to joining Michael Best, built her patent prosecution expertise while working with two large intellectual property law firms in Chicago. She has more than 10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles with wireless communication companies, providing her a unique and informed perspective in her work.
